Dill seed oil is obtained by the steam distillation of dried seeds of Anethum Sowa Roxb. The product is a free-flowing liquid, with a yellowish to brownish-yellow colour. It has a characteristic fresh, warm, spicy, carvonic odour. Major components in dill seed oil are Dihydro carvones, carvone and apiol.
