PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate is a water-soluble, non-ionic surfactant, emollient, and solubiliser. Derived from glycerin and natural coconut fatty acids, it functions primarily as a refatting agent in cosmetics. It restores lost moisture and lipids to the skin and hair, counteracting the drying effect of strong cleansing ingredients.

Refatting Agent & Emollient: It leaves a soft, conditioned, non-greasy feel on the skin and hair after rinsing.
Mild Co-Surfactant: It reduces the harshness of primary anionic surfactants (like SLES or sodium coco-sulfate) while boosting and stabilizing foam.
Solubiliser: It helps dissolve small amounts of essential oils, fragrance oils, and oil-soluble vitamins into purely water-based or gel formulas without making them cloudy.
HLB Value of 11: It functions effectively as a co-emulsifier for oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions.

Usage Guidelines

Recommended Usage Rate: Typically 1.0% to 10.0% of the total formula weight, depending on the product type.
Maximum Limit: Safe up to 10.0% in leave-on products, and used freely in standard rinse-off products.
How to Add: It is a clear to pale-yellow liquid that dissolves effortlessly in water and alcohol, and easily disperses into oils. It can be added directly to the water phase or surfactant phase at room temperature.
